Questionarre sample

1 comment:

  1. The questionnaire used a sample of 10 boys and 10 girls to make it a fair evaulation.
It involved asking the respondent 8 questions. Most of the questions were closed questions to create quantative data, this primary data can then be easily graphed and compared against other results.
When doing the prelimanary questionnaire when it came to the most popular front cover question we asked them to number there opinion but found that people misinterpretated the questionaire and therefore for question 3 we got the respondent just to circle there favourite. They choose picture number 4 which was the front cover of Nme, there christmas edition. People may have just picked this one however because of the christmas theme as christmas is a time of joy and happiness making the other covers insignificant.
Also the two least popular mazgazines endorced certain stereotypes that some may dislike. One was from the magazine source which showed The game holding a gun to his throat showing violence and the other had a picture of prince on the front cover showing a gay stereotype.
The target age range from this questionnaire will be aimed at young adults from the age of 15 up to 22 as that audience is most easily reached from todays technology as younger generations mostly use the internet, watch t.v, listen to the radio.
80% of the respondents chose pictures and colour over text and information. So the majority of our magazine will use a mixture of both but will sway more towards pictures as that was most liked by the respondents.
The colours blue and red were the most appealing colours to the audience and therefore will be the basis of our house style.
Indie and rock music were the most popular genre that was offered. The least popular were punk and dubstep. altough rock and indie was most popular we decided that the main focual point of the magazine will use these but will also represent New music offering our audience the newest up to date music out.
On the questionnaire we found that people would write there own genre of music on the sheet if it wasn't represented on the questionnaire. For example, R&B.
14 out of 20 said that they would prefer to recieve a music magazine monthly, and therefore thats what our aim will be, additionally the price will be £2-3 as that was the most desired pricing of magazines and is reasonable for a monthly magazine. 60% chose £2-3.
