Scarratts Evaluation Part 1!

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challange forms and conventions of real media products?
Our Magazine Brand Identity was chosen to be called "Rock&Tumble-New Music" out of process of elimination, we felt as if it best described what we wanted our magazine genre to be. A music magazine mostly dedicated and concentrated on Rock but also leaked a slight twist and challanged other rock conventions by adding a wider and more open marketed genre that is "new music", expanding our target audience massively and increasing the amount of consumption by buyers and increasing profits. click on the link below to see Brand Identity.

We used the normal colour forms for a rock magazine because its internationally known by magazine readers what Black, red and white stereotypically symboloize, if we used other colours for a rock magazine audiences may be put off by this or misinterpretate what genre the magazine is trying to accomplish. On the right is an image of a well esteemed Rock magazine already on the market, you can see how we have used a similar colour scheme because its most reconized with a rock magazine.
