How does you media product represent particular social groups?

Because of these results shown we decided that the best market to set our magazine towards was those interested in Rock but we then also decided to open our audience even further by adding a subGenre of "New Music" which is any new releashes, creating a mass target audience to appeal too instead of a niche market.
With the set genre research was put into certain publishing houses and other successful existing rock magazines too duplicate some conventions to reiterate a similar rock magazine with the same fame and success. Research was put into "Kerrang, NME and Qmusic".

We believe that our magazine Rock N Tumble successfully targets the correct demography audience in which it will make the greatest profit. The age range will be between 15 and 30. Based on questionaire results we were then able to adapt the magazine design and contents which suited this audience most because of the answers given by this target age range. This age range is also best to aim at because there mostly economically active and are most likely and stereotypically likely to spend disposible income onto the leisure items. This age range will either be people who are at school or have jobs, so by making it a montly magazine it allows them to spend their money less frequantly then other magazines and papers, such as Athletics Weekly. http://www.athletics-weekly.com/
Additionally, by working so often they are going to want to be able to relax and read about their favourite bands. The magazine is biased towards any particular sex, however it may be more enclined to have a male audience due to the aggressive nature of the magazine but it may have a adhorent audience, that is female or younger children.
